Ever since September 2013, I’ve attended the “Seeds of the Word, a Book Club for the Soul” book club at the Redemptorist Renewal Center. The conversation is invigorating. While spirituality is an element of every book we read, we discuss both fiction and non-fiction. Books range from Barabbas by Par Lagerkvist to Everything That Rises Must Converge by Flannery O’Connor, from Night by Elie Wiesel to The Great Divorce by C.S. Lewis. I decided to start recording the sessions for members who might not be able to attend. Given the size of a 60-minute audio file, I decided to make them available by ‘sharing’ them with Google Drive. I also decided to make the discussions available to subscribers to this website.
This afternoon, we discussed the first half of James Martin’s book Jesus, A Pilgrimage. My friend Lidia Allen moderated the session.
If you are a club member, a subscriber to this website or just happened to drop by and would like to listen to today’s discussion on this excellent book, please fill out the contact sheet below and I will share the audio file with you, directly to your email with Google Drive.
