This is a guest post by my youngest son Jesse.
I’ve realized something about myself…
I love praying for people.
Not because I have everything figured out.
I don’t.
Not because my faith has always been perfect.
It hasn’t.
But I know what it feels like to go through seasons where you’re carrying bad things nobody else can see.
And sometimes you don’t need advice.
You don’t need someone to fix you.
You just need somebody willing to stand beside you and say,
“I got you. I’ll pray.”
And actually mean it.
Because praying for somebody costs nothing.
But it might mean everything to the person who feels like they’re fighting alone.
So you don’t have to tell me anything…
Just say, “Brother, pray for me.”
I will.
Because I know there were nights when other people were praying for me while God was rebuilding a man I barely recognized anymore.
And I’ll never forget that.
Strong men pray.
Strong men pray for each other.
And sometimes the strongest thing you can do for another human is bring their name before God.
“Pray for one another.” James 5:16
If you need prayer today, just ask. I’d love to.
I mean that.
